Backtest your futures DCA strategy — free.

Replay your own DCA settings (long setups) on up to a year of 1-minute candles before you risk real money. See the return, the max drawdown, how close the ladder came to liquidation — and your worst 90 days.

Simulation results do not guarantee live trading results.

Four windows

Would this ladder have survived its worst 90 days?

Every run reports the last 30 days, the last 90 days and the last year — then searches that year day by day for its worst 90-day stretch and shows it in its own row. If your ladder would have been liquidated, the result says so, with the date and price.

What you can test

Your ladder

How many rounds, the gap between them and how much each round buys.

Your exit

The take-profit target, and an optional stop-loss.

Your risk

Leverage and wallet usage — the share of your wallet the ladder may use.

Your market

Curated symbols in supported markets. The backtester picks a representative exchange that lists the symbol and names it in the result.

Your profit handling

Hold as is, or a what-if that restarts the bot with the bigger wallet after each 10% gain.

What you get back

Return

Exit-net equity, including unrealized P&L and estimated closing costs.

Max drawdown

Equity drawdown, measured every minute.

Liquidation room

The closest the ladder came to liquidation — and the date and price if it would not have survived.

Take-profits and hold time

How many cycles closed, and the longest hold.

Costs

The exchange's standard (non-VIP) fees, historical funding where available, and a slippage allowance on the first (market) entry. Cashback is shown separately.

Free, without a plan gate

Backtesting is part of the free bot. There is no plan-gated lookback and no monthly run quota.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a free account

Sign up with Google or email. No card, no plan.

  2. 2

    Open the strategy editor

Start from a ready-to-run T-DCA strategy, copy and edit one, or build your own.

  3. 3

    Run the backtest

Pick the symbol and how profit is handled, and run — the result names the exchange whose candles were used.

Know the limits

  • It is a 1-minute candle simulation on one exchange's own candles. Real fills can be worse.
  • Up to 366 days of history, depending on available data — some symbols have less.
  • Curated symbols only, and long strategies only for now.
  • Past ranges do not predict future ranges, and simulation results do not guarantee live results.

Want to see a long backtest first?

Our published presets were run on 5.6 years of Binance trade-by-trade data, and a third party we commissioned rebuilt them without our engine's source code: BTC +1,550.89% with a −81.31% max drawdown, ETH +1,359.75% with a −50.24% max drawdown, both with reinvestment assumed. Past results do not guarantee future returns.

Free DCA backtest — frequently asked questions

Is there a free crypto DCA backtester with no monthly run quota?

Yes. Blitz includes a free backtester in its strategy editor: after logging in, you can replay your own DCA settings (long setups) on up to a year (366 days) of 1-minute candles for curated symbols, depending on available data. There is no plan-gated lookback and no monthly run quota. Simulation results do not guarantee live trading results.

What data and costs does the Blitz backtester use?

One exchange's own 1-minute candles for the symbol. Blitz picks a representative exchange that lists the symbol and names it in the result, together with the date range. Costs use the exchange's standard (non-VIP) fees, historical funding where available, and a slippage allowance on the first (market) entry.

Can a backtest show if a DCA ladder would have been liquidated?

Yes. Every run shows the minimum liquidation room, and if the ladder would have been liquidated, the result gives the date and price. It also reports the return (exit-net, including unrealized P&L and estimated closing costs), max drawdown measured every minute, take-profit count and longest hold — for the last 30 days, the last 90 days, the last year and the worst 90-day stretch within that year.

How is the free backtester different from the published BTC and ETH backtests?

The published backtests cover two exact presets over Jan 1, 2021 – Aug 24, 2026 on Binance trade-by-trade data, and a third party Blitz commissioned rebuilt them. The in-app backtester is for your own settings on up to a year of 1-minute candles. Results from one do not carry over to the other.

How far back can I backtest, and what are the limits?

Up to 366 days of history, depending on available data — some symbols have less. Backtesting covers curated symbols only, and long strategies only for now. It simulates 1-minute candles, so real fills can be worse, and past ranges do not predict future ranges.
